4 modes of being a sissy: a realistic approach
Do you sometimes find yourself thinking, "I want to be a sissy!" but aren't quite sure what that means for you? Well, you're not alone.
Many people experience a desire to explore their feminine side and embrace their sissy identity. But, to fully embrace this lifestyle, you need to have realistic expectations of what you can achieve, taking into consideration the limitations of your daily life.
Start by asking yourself some questions:
Do you want to be a sissy 24/7 or just from time to time?
How affected your life would be if your secret got out?
Is this just a kink for you? Is femininity more for you?
How important is being "passable" for you?
For the purpose of this article, let's distinguish four main "sissy modes" that you can aspire to achieve.
1) Once-in-a-while sissy
Your daily life as a man doesn't feel like a burden.
You're certain you don't have gender dysphoria.
You most likely like to remain closeted, unless you have very progressive and open-minded people around you.
Being a sissy is an occasional kink and these desires are not with you very often
Becoming passable would be nice, but you can live without it.
Suggestions for your training:
Don't shy away from an exaggerated and sexual sissy persona when you dress up, especially if it appeals to your kinks, e.g. bimbofication, humiliation.
Aim for temporary changes: invest in a good wig, learn makeup skills, and use shapewear like corsets and padded panties instead of exercise and diets.
Invest in a silicone breastplate.
Treat your OPSEC as the highest priority.
2) Anxious closeted
You have a strong need to become more feminine.
Your relationship with gender is very complicated.
You're anxious about being outed and it would have serious consequences for your life
You're very appreciative of feminine beauty and would love to become beautiful yourself.
Suggestions for your training:
Seek support from a trusted friend or therapist.
Consider moving and changing your environment to be more accepting.
Start small and gradually experiment with presenting more femininely in private or with close friends before trying it in public.
Try to experiment with what degree of androgynous presenting is acceptable for people in our lives. Example: grow out your hair and watch how others react to it. Do they notice?
Take care of your inner girl every day. Don't forget about makeup practice, diet, exercise, and spa days.
3) Secure closeted
You have a strong need to express your feminine side, but you feel more secure keeping it private, or you just accept you need to for the sake of keeping up with societal expectations.
You have a good understanding of your gender identity and feel comfortable with your dual nature.
You may share your secret with close friends or partners but are not ready for wider acceptance.
Passability may be important to you, but mainly when you're in femme mode, not all the time.
Suggestions for your training:
Invest in quality female clothing and practice fashion and style.
Learn how to do your own hair and makeup.
Experiment with different looks and find what makes you feel most confident and comfortable.
Join online communities or attend meetups to connect with other sissies and share experiences
Consider therapy or coaching to help navigate any conflicting feelings or fears.
Plan for extended periods of time when you can be yourself.
4) Openly femme
You fully embrace your sissy identity and are open about it with those around you.
You have a strong sense of femininity and want to express it freely.
Passability is important to you, and you may invest more time and resources into achieving it.
You are proud of your femininity and embrace it in all aspects of your life.
You may be an inspiration and mentor to others
Your partner may encourage your femininity
Suggestions for your training:
Share your knowledge and the story of your journey with others
Invest in wardrobe staples that fit your lifestyle and personal style.
Learn advanced makeup techniques and practice regularly.
Consider hormone therapy or other medical procedures to achieve a more feminine appearance.
Join local LGBTQ+ communities and events to connect with other sissies and find support.
Embrace and celebrate your femininity in all aspects of your life, from daily routines to social events.
No matter which "sissy mode" you identify with, remember that there is no right or wrong way to be a sissy. Good luck!
